From the Executive Director

September 2010

Dear Friends,

Greetings from the Jacques Marchais Museum of Tibetan Art. This is a wonderful time of year to visit the Museum, as the garden is in full bloom. We hope you will visit us soon.

Save the Date: The Annual Tibetan Festival will be held on Sunday, October 3, 2010 from 12:00 - 5:00 PM. Join us for an afternoon of Tibetan artists, musicians, and demonstrations of Tibetan calligraphy and woodcarving. The day will begin with a Tibetan Prayer Flag raising ceremony at 12:30 PM. Additional demonstrations include a lecture by Lama Pema Wangdak at 1:00 PM and a demonstration of Tibetan singing bowls at 3:00 PM. We thank the New York State Council on the Arts for their support of this year's festival.

For additional information about these and other events, please call 718-987-3500 or email me at mventrudo@tibetanmuseum.org.

Thank you for visiting the website and I look forward to seeing you at the Museum.

Sincerely,

Meg Ventrudo
Executive Director
